In addition to our initial free consultation, we offer paid follow-up and case-specific consultations for clients who require further discussion, clarification, or strategic input once a matter is underway.
These consultations are designed for situations where focused advisory time is needed to review developments, discuss documents, plan next steps, or address specific questions relating to an active or ongoing matter.
When a Paid Consultation Is Required
A paid consultation is appropriate where:
-
You have already had an initial consultation and require further discussion
-
Your matter has progressed and new issues, correspondence, or documents have arisen
-
You need to talk through strategy, risks, or options in more depth
-
You are considering changes to scope, direction, or service level

You require structured advice on next steps before proceeding
Paid consultations ensure that adequate time is reserved and that discussions are focused, prepared, and productive.

What Happens During a Paid Consultation
Each paid consultation is structured and focused. Depending on the duration, this may include:
-
Review of recent developments or correspondence
-
Discussion of risks, options, and likely next steps
-
Clarification of procedural or documentary requirements
-
Strategic guidance on how to proceed
-
Alignment on scope for further advisory work, if required
Paid consultations allow for deeper engagement than an initial consultation and assume prior familiarity with the matter.
Pre-Consultation Requirements (Mandatory)
To ensure the consultation is effective, clients must:
-
Submit a written summary of the issue to be discussed
-
Clearly state what they want to address during the consultation
-
Provide any relevant context or updates
This information must be submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled consultation.
Where documents are required for context, these must be identified in advance. Large document bundles will not be reviewed live unless expressly agreed.
What Paid Consultations Do Not Include
To maintain clarity and boundaries:
-
No document drafting during the consultation
-
No live review of large bundles
-
No legal representation or advocacy
-
No submission of documents on the client’s behalf
Consultations are advisory and discussion-based.
After the Consultation
Following a paid consultation, we may:
-
Recommend specific next steps
-
Confirm whether further advisory support is required
-
Suggest a fixed-fee service or package
-
Recommend an ongoing advisory arrangement where appropriate
There is no obligation to proceed unless agreed.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
-
Consultations may be rescheduled with reasonable notice
-
Missed appointments or late cancellations may not be refundable
-
Consultations may be declined if pre-consultation information is not provided
Important Notes
-
Paid consultations are distinct from ongoing advisory packages
-
Clients on monthly advisory arrangements may already have consultation time included
-
All consultations are advisory and preparatory only
If your matter is ongoing, evolving, or multi-stage, an ongoing advisory arrangement provides the most effective and cost-efficient way to receive structured professional support.
